JUNIOR INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECT MANAGER
Studio Seva seeks a talented Interior Designer | Project Manager to join our team, a full service high end residential design firm. Candidate will work directly under principal designer Steph Schlegelmilch and will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple design projects at once to create efficiency in the workplace. Candidate will be involved in all phases of the projects including client meetings and presentations, workroom visits, vendor meetings, installations and photoshoots. Candidate must be confident in design decisions and project management skills and ability to anticipate team and project needs to take the lead on tasks. Main Responsibilities:
Work on projects from design conception, schematic design through installation, aid in preparation for client design presentation mood-board, design support and creative assistance in product and material specification
Communicating with client from beginning to end
Provide support and administration during all phases for all projects which includes furniture procurement and schedules, vendor management and communication, project management (coordinating installations and deliveries), and assistance at site visits/installs.
Assist in FF&E (furniture, fixtures, finishes & equipment), paint and electrical schedules as well as project scope documentation, CAD drawings for furniture floor plans, site analysis including space measurements and product placement.
Involvement in all client meetings, and internal meetings documenting all notes and pictures taken during all meetings.
Running sample pick-ups from vendors, visits to warehouse, and miscellaneous tasks outside of office setting.
Managing Client Proposals & Create / Purchase Orders, Billing/Invoicing including: product purchasing, payment, status, shipping, tracking, delivery and installation, direct coordination with both vendor and client, supervision of vendor measure/installation appointments, receive and inspection of incoming client items, assistance in the return and/or exchange of client items.
Involvement in social media platforms, project photoshoots, contracts, and brand related strategies.
Qualifications:
2+ years at a design firm or similar position
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Chief Architect, SketchUp and StudioDesigner
Proficient in Excel, Google Docs/Slides, Photoshop, Social Media channels
Desire to grow in a firm with a go-getter mentality and contribute to business growth
Ability to work independently as well as with a team. Ability to delegate tasks to self and others and handle multiple tasks at once
Positive attitude - willing to jump in wherever needed
Must be resourceful - eager to solve problems
Strong communication skills (grammar and vocabulary both written and verbal), including being able to lead in person and/or conference call meetings, write thorough and organized emails for vendors, clients and team
Possesses exceptional organizational and time management skills (detail oriented) and preparedness
Ability to physically work - hauling samples, moving and building furniture, organizing and unboxing, making beds, cleaning, packing, styling and shopping
Reliable and willing to travel to office and metro area for job sites/installations
Must Have A Car - will require some travel throughout CT and metro area for job site visits and installations
Job Type: Full Time (Mon-Fri) with a minimum of 3 full days required in person at Westport CT office
